Microsoft Excel 2003: Level 1

Overview

TCCIT Solutions provides high quality, affordably priced, training classes in Microsoft Excel. With experienced instructors and a convenient midtown NYC location, we offer MS Excel courses for the corporate community. TCCIT Solutions offers group classes and private tutoring to beginner and more advanced corporate clients in Excel 2003 or Excel 2007. We offer onsite training or classes at our facility on 34th Street and Madison in New York City.

Course Objectives

Basic computer skills such as using a mouse, navigating through windows and surfing the Internet are a given for students taking the Excel Level 1 course. They have also used paper-based systems to store data for calculations and now want to migrate that data to an electronic format. This course at The Career Center is designed for persons who know the Microsoft Office Windows XP operating system and who wish to prepare for certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist in Excel. Students will use Microsoft Office Excel 2003 to manage, edit and print data as well as create and edit basic worksheets and workbooks.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Create a basic worksheet.
  • Modify a worksheet.
  • Perform calculations.
  • Format a worksheet.
  • Develop a workbook.
  • Print the contents of a workbook.
  • Customize the layout of the Excel window.

Prerequisites:

Before taking this course, students should have a basic understanding of Windows, including how to use files and folders.
